A favorite broccoli casserole that takes very little time to put together, to save time you can steam the florets days ahead and refrigerate, this may also be completely assembled and refrigerated up 2 days in advance or until ready to bake, which makes it perfect dish to serve at the holidays!

Servings 8

Ingredients:

1 large head broccoli (about 8 cups) cut into medium florets
1-1/2 cups mayonnaise (do not use salad dressing)
1-1/2 cups sour cream
1/4 cup melted butter
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (or to taste)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:—————————————-

Set oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

SteamĀ  the florets until just fork tender (do not cook until very soft as they will cook more in the oven) allow to drain well on paper towels.

In a bowl combine the mayonnaise with sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, seasoned salt and black pepper; whisk/mix until smooth and well combined.

Mix in both onions and shredded cheese, then mix in the broccoli florets.

Transfer to baking dish, then sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese.

Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly
