Frozen Chocolate Orange Dreamsicle Pie
I won’t go on and on about how delicious this pie is you’ll just have to try it for yourself, taken from my “Favorite Desserts” folder…need I say more?
I use my Magic Shell topping for this, a graham cracker crust will also work well, I prefer the chocolate crumb crust
Servings 8
Ingredients:
1 prepared (9-inch) chocolate crumb crust, purchased will work fine or make your own, see HERE
1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
1 pint orange sherbet, softened
Magic Shell chocolate topping, use as much as you like
2 cups Cool Whip frozen topping, thawed (use regular or chocolate flavor Cool Whip topping)
chocolate shavings, optional
Instructions:
Spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the crust, then spread the sherbet over the vanilla ice cream; place in freezer for at least 4 hours or more or until completely frozen.
Remove from freezer and drizzle the Magic Shell over the frozen pie using as much as you like; immediately return to freezer for about 20 minutes.
Remove and top with Cool Whip topping then sprinkle chocolate shavings over, return to freezer until firm.
Remove the pie about 10 minutes before serving.
Store any leftovers in freezer (that is is you have any leftover!).
