Make certain to sift the confectioners sugar or you will have small lumps in your frosting, if your thinking about using milk or light cream in place of the heavy cream it will not have the same creamy smooth flavor, amounts may be doubled

Ingredients:

1 cup creamy peanut butter (for best flavor use a good quality peanut butter)

6 tablespoons butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

1 cup confectioners sugar, sifted

Instructions:————————————

In a medium bowl beat the peanut butter with butter, vanilla, salt and whipping cream until smooth.

Add in 1 cup confectioners sugar and beat until smooth and well blended (you may need to add in more confectioners sugar or heavy cream to achieve the right consistancy for your liking).

    Kitten,

My twins were born on New Year’s Day, 1980. For many years, our traditional birthday cake has been chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. I came across your recipe for Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting and used it for our celebration yesterday (their 30th birthday). It was just outstanding. Everyone said what an improvement it was over the recipe I have been using for years. I am so happy I “found” you on Recipezaar a couple of years ago. Whenever I am looking for inspiration, I know I will find it from you. Thanks so much!
