Creamy Cheddar Grits

Purchase only quick-cooking grits for this recipe

Servings 6

Ingredients:

1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth plus water to make 3 cups

2 cups cups milk

1 cup quick-cooking grits

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

pinch cayenne pepper (or adjust to heat level)

1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt and fresh ground black pepper, or to taste

Instructions:———————————-

In a large saucepan combine the chicken broth with water and milk; bring to a boil.

Slowly whisk in the grits.

Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for about 8 minutes or until thickened stirring constantly.

Stir in cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese, cayenne, salt and pepper.

Serve hot.
