Oven Roasted Honey Garlic Pork Ribs
You could cook the ribs without browning first but a large amount of fat will be swimming in the sauce, I prefer to cook the ribs first to make sure all the fat drains out and the flavor is actually better…
Even better…you couldĀ brown the ribs in the oven, pour the sauce over and refrigerate for 24 hours
This also works well using thick-cutĀ bone-in pork chops, brown about 3 minutes per side first in a skillet first, oven cooking time will need to be adjusted
Servings 6
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1/2 to 1 teaspoon hot chili sauce, or to taste
5 pounds bone-in country-style pork ribs
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
1 large green onion, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS:—————————————————
In an extra large bowl combine the first 12 ingredients.
Place the ribs onto a rack on a baking sheet.
Bake in a 350 degree F oven until browned (about 30 minutes).
Place in a large roaster pan.
Pour the sauce over the ribs then toss to coat in the sauce.

These are amazing, not your “average” Honey-Garlic ribs. I used the chili sauce (Sriracha) option instead of cayenne pepper with lip smaking, finger licking results. Hubby moaned through the entire meal!!!
This one will be made again for sure.
