Baked Meatballs In Barbecue Sauce

Servings 4

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 pound ground beef

3/4 pound bulk Italian sausage meat (or can use 1-1/2 pounds ground beef)

4 large garlic cloves, minced

1 egg

1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

1 teaspoon crushed chili flakes, or adjust to heat level

Sauce:
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke seasoning, optional but good to add in
1/2  teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:———————————————
Preehat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine meatball ingredients.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place meatballs in baking pan.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until meat is no longer; drain all fat.
In a saucepan combine the sauce ingredients; bring to a
boil, reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Pour over meatballs..
Bake 10-12 minutes longer.
