Baked Cheesy Sausage Dip

This doubles very well, for an extra spicy dip sprinkle chopped pickled jalapeno peppers on top before baking

Servings 8

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 (10-ounce) can diced tomato and green chiles

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:—————————————————

Cook sausage with garlic in a large skillet until no longer pink; drain well.

Drain diced tomato and green chiles, reserving 1/4 cup liquid.

Stir together sausage, diced tomato and green chiles, reserved liquid, and cream cheese.

Spoon into a lightly greased 1-quart baking dish.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven (bottom oven rack) for 20 minutes.

Remove sprinkle with cheddar cheese and return to oven for about 10 minutes.

Serve with corn chips.
