I’m a 50 something wife, mother and recipe developer, I also have an extreme love for cats, not to mention food also…
My motto is if you can eat it, you can make it!…
Many of you know me as Kittencal from Food.com (formally Recipezaar) …
Just in case you haven’t quite got enough of me yet, this is where you will find the best of the best such as my apple pie...flaky pie pastry… lasagna and cheescake and many more of my self developed recipes, also my all-time favorite recipes many going back over 35 years.
This is not a fancy site filled with lots of ads and color and you will not find any fancy photos of me or a run-down of what I have done in the past week this is a cooking site with only recipes, my blog was developed because of hundreds of requests over the years and only features my favorite tried and true recipes.
My site is dedicated to recipes with ingredients that are easily found in your grocery store, no fancy ingredients, just basic everyday cooking recipes that are easy to follow even for the beginner cook!
KittencalsKitchen is a blog or personal website created and maintained by me, unlike most of the large sites that feature thousands of submitted recipes this is my own personal web site with only my recipes all tested and made by me first, I do not post any recipes here before I feel they are worthy to be posted.
Thank you to the hundreds of wonderful people who have taken the time to post their wonderful comments on the site not to mention the hundreds of emails I have received, I have read each and every post and truly appreciate your comments and compliments, you can be certain that I will continue with only the very best recipes for everyone to enjoy!

I “discovered” your wonderful recipes on Recipezaar sometime in 2007. I have printed 200+ of your recipes since then and put them into a three ring binder and have used them over and over again. My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed your recipes! Would love to buy the cookbook.

I just found your website from recipezaar. Looks great! I am a big fan of course (I just finished reviewing one of your recipes. Another five stars!).
It says in your profile that you’re Canadian, as am I, so you have certainly heard of Company’s Coming cookbooks. Well, I have brought all but one of my cookbooks to the used bookstore. I don’t need them anymore. I have made more of your recipes off recipezaar then I had out of those cookbooks!

Thank you so MUCH for creating this website. I have enjoyed so many of your wonderful recipes on the Zaar, and I wish you much success with this site. I do have a stupid question about one of your recipes…It is from the Zaar, and it is your “All Dressed Egg Salad”. I am confused on the olives that it calls for. I always knew ripe olives to be black, but it specifically says; “prefer green olives”. What kind of green olives? Are we talking about the green olives with the pimento in the middle? I guess I am not as olive savvy as I should be….Anyway, any help that you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!!
Hi Cari, yes green pimento-stuffed olives for that recipe, I think that is now under the name of Deli-Style Egg and Olive/link# 72109 and it does state green pimento olives… thank you taking the time to post on my site!
